The UK Coronavirus Cancer Programme (UKCCP) is one of the longest running and most successful pandemic response programmes for cancer patients.

Our strategy is to identify and deliver the scientific evidence for approaches to maximise safety of cancer patients during the coronavirus pandemic.
This approach has initiated or delivered 10 research projects, and this has involved over 250 people across our 86 cancer centres.
Our prioritised current strategy areas are:-
- Variant evaluation- understanding how cancer patients are affected
- Evaluation following infection- molsotrov.
- More protection sooner- the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis
We envisage that by coalescing interest nationally to assess and implement these strategy areas we can launch new projects to safeguard, evaluate and protect cancer patients.
